Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the site operator identified before public launch, operator of The Personal Injury Review, handles information when you use the site. We designed the service to work without accounts, case-intake forms, or the sale of legal leads.

Please do not submit sensitive information

The site does not ask for your name, phone number, email address, medical records, or case narrative to use the directory. Do not send case facts, health information, privileged communications, or confidential documents through search, correction, advertising, accessibility, or general-contact channels.

Information processed when you visit

  • Basic request and security data, such as IP address, browser or device type, requested page, referrer, date and time, error data, and security signals.
  • Consent and privacy choices, including whether contextual or nonpersonalized ads may be served and applicable opt-out signals.
  • Aggregate usage information, such as page views and use of directory or advertising links. We do not turn an outbound click into a legal lead.
  • Information you voluntarily send when requesting a correction, reporting an accessibility issue, or contacting us.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate page visits, directory-filter use, and clicks from the directory to firm websites. The implementation disables Google signals and advertising-personalization signals, does not send raw search terms, omits query strings and referrer paths from page-view events, and does not set a site user ID.

Analytics storage is denied by default. Before a visitor makes a choice, Google may receive cookieless measurement pings for aggregate modeling. Choosing Decline, using the footer control to disable analytics, or sending a recognized Global Privacy Control signal disables Analytics requests from this implementation. The search-results route is excluded entirely because its URL can contain user-entered text.

Advertising and cookies

When display advertising is inactive, no display-ad containers or advertising requests appear. On a page that legitimately loads a display unit, the footer can invoke Google's cookie-consent settings through the supported callback API. Google's configured US-state message supplies its own do-not-sell/share entrypoint. Pages excluded from display ads remain free of ad and Funding Choices tags and link back to this privacy section.

Activation requires review of regional consent and opt-out requirements, including Global Privacy Control, and verification of the configured ad-serving behavior. Nonpersonalized ads can still use cookies for frequency limits, measurement, and security. Preview preferences are not reused as consent for a production advertising setup.

How we use information

  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site.
  • Provide search, directory navigation, and contextual or nonpersonalized advertising.
  • Measure aggregate use and detect fraud or misuse.
  • Respond to correction, accessibility, privacy, and business inquiries.
  • Comply with law and protect users, the public, and the service.

What we do not do

  • We do not collect case-intake forms or send consumer contact information to law firms.
  • We do not sell legal leads or receive a fee based on hiring a lawyer or obtaining a recovery.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We do not use health or legal-interest data to create remarketing audiences.

Service providers and external sites

Hosting, security, search, consent, advertising, and measurement providers process limited information for us under their own terms and our configuration. A link to a law firm, government agency, or other website takes you to a separately operated service with its own privacy practices.

Retention

Raw operational and security logs are generally retained for no more than 30 days unless needed to investigate abuse, comply with law, or protect the service. Aggregate statistics that no longer identify a visitor may be kept longer. Contact and correction correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, document the decision, and meet legal obligations. Third parties set their own retention periods.

Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; limit certain sensitive-data uses; or appeal a decision. Send a request to the law-firm contact address published before public launch. The footer links here from every page. Where Google's applicable messaging API is already active, it also provides a cookie-settings control; Google's configured US-state message supplies its own do-not-sell/share entrypoint. These controls do not submit a rights request. We may need limited information to verify and fulfill a request. To appeal, reply with the subject line "Privacy appeal."

Children

The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information may contact us to request deletion.

Security and policy changes

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We will post material policy changes here and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.

Contact

Privacy questions may be sent to the law-firm contact address published before public launch or mailed to the site operator identified before public launch, the mailing address published before public launch.
