Corrections Policy

Public records, firm websites, and legal information change. We welcome specific, supported correction requests from consumers, firms, lawyers, and source organizations.

How to request a correction

Email the law-firm contact address published before public launch with the page address, the exact statement you believe is wrong, the requested correction, and a link or document supporting the change. State whether you are the subject of the listing or are acting on that party's behalf.

Do not send case details, medical records, Social Security numbers, privileged communications, or other confidential information. A correction request does not create an attorney-client relationship.

What happens next

  • We aim to acknowledge a complete request within five business days.
  • We aim to complete an initial review within 15 business days. Complex or disputed matters may take longer.
  • Reports of a license suspension, disbarment, closed office, impersonation, or security issue receive priority.
  • We compare the request with authoritative sources and may contact the subject or source for clarification.
  • We will correct supported errors, add context where a statement was technically accurate but misleading, or explain why no change was made.

Fair treatment

Advertisers and non-advertisers use the same corrections process. Payment cannot expedite a request, suppress accurate information, or secure more favorable wording.

Third-party ratings and reviews

We keep platform-specific profiles separate and do not manufacture a composite score. Concerns about a review or score displayed by another platform should be submitted to that platform. We will correct a mismatched entity, misleading scope label, stale licensed metric, inaccurate summary, or broken source link on our own site.

Correction notes

For a material error that could affect a consumer's understanding, we may add a dated correction note. Routine spelling, formatting, link, and clearly non-substantive updates may be corrected without a public note.
